Section 89 CrPC Restoration of Attached Property in Law

Section 89 CrPC as per Law, if within 2-years from the date of the attachment any person whose property is or has been at the disposal of the Provincial Government under sub-section (7) of section 88, appears voluntarily or is apprehended and brought before the court is subordinate, and proved to the satisfaction of such court that he did not abscond or conceal himself for the purpose of avoiding execution of the warrant.

Section 89 CrPC also provides period of limitation for filing of application for restoration of the attached property. The object of Section 88 CrPC is not to punish but to compel an accused person to appear in obedience to a warrant issued by Criminal Courts.
