Right of Self Defense in Law. the word Right of Self Defense means, when it applies to the defense of another, alter ego defense, defense of others, defense of a third person etc. is the right for people to use reasonable force or defensive force, for the purpose of defending one’s own life (self-defense) or the lives of others.
Elements of Self Defense in Law
An individual does not have to die for the force to be deemed deadly. Four Elements are required for self-defense:
(1) an unprovoked attack,
(2) which threatens imminent injury or death, and
(3) an objectively reasonable degree of force, used in response to
(4) an objectively reasonable fear of injury or death.
