Powers of JOP Ex-Officio Under Transfer of Investigation

Powers of JOP Ex-Officio Under Transfer of Investigation, Justice of Peace
has the power to issue appropriate directions to the police authorities concerned on a complaint regarding non-registration of criminal case, transfer of investigation from one police officer to another and neglect, failure or excess committed by a police authority in relation to its functions and duties.

However, Clause (ii)of Sub-section (6) of Section 22-A CrPC, limited powers are granted to the JOP Ex-Officio to issue appropriate direction to the concerned Police Authorities for the transfer of investigation of any case from one police officer to another.
