Articles 199 and 184(3) of the Constitution of Pakistan 1973 provide the High Court and the Supreme Court with original jurisdiction to keep a check on the administrative actions taken by public functionaries in order to make sure that such actions are not being performed in a discriminatory or arbitrary manner.
